With Telegram Stars you can accept payments via in-app purchases on Android and iOS or by card.

This payment method is the only one officially allowed by Telegram for your bot.
The Stars purchased through the Telegram application downloaded from the official website have a corresponding price in dollars:
You will receive $0.013 for each star earned.
The price of the Stars may increase if the purchase is made through the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
Price of products
It’s possible to use this payment method either by setting Stars also as the currency of your shop or by using another classic currency (such as USD or EUR).
If you use Stars as your currency, you will choose the exact price in Stars of each product and your users in the shop will see the price directly in Stars.
Instead, if you use another classic currency, for example USD, your users will see the price in that currency and then the bot will take care of converting the price into Telegram Stars at the time of payment.
In this second case, you can choose how the bot should calculate prices in Stars, between two modes:
User Spending
If you create a product with a price of $5, the user will approximately pay $5 through Telegram Stars, and you will receive a lower revenue ($3.25 in this example).
The amount users will pay is calculated by the bot based on the table shown above, but it may still vary depending on the platform from which the user makes the purchase and their country.
Merchant Revenue
If you create a product with a price of $5, you will always receive $5 in revenue, but the user will pay a higher amount (circa $7.65 in this example).
To set which of the two modes to use, open the shop management system and click on Settings in the navigation bar. In the "Payment Method" section, you will find the price calculation setting under "Telegram Stars":
Withdraw the proceeds
It’s possible to withdraw the earnings via the Fragment platform exclusively in TON (cryptocurrency created by Telegram).
To see your Star balance and proceed with the withdrawal you can follow the procedure explained below, using the official Telegram app updated to the latest version.
Firstly go in your bot profile and just press on the pencil icon:
Then on the button with the star:
From this menu you can see the income graph, the total earned, the transactions list and also withdraw money:
You can also decide not to withdraw them, but to use them to buy advertising on other Telegram channels.
Withdrawal is available after 21 days of user purchase, a minimum of 1000 stars (13 USD) can be withdrawn at a time.
To withdraw funds, a KYC authentication will be required by Telegram on Fragment.
Test payments
Since Telegram does not provide a Test mode for this payment method, we recommend creating products with a star price as low as possible (minimum 1).
Furthermore, you can take advantage of the refund system via the Shop management system to recover the stars you spent when carrying out payment tests.
To do this, simply search for the payment to be refunded on the Orders page of the management system and press on the icon highlighted in the image below:
